dotConnect for Oracle

dotConnect for Oracle is an ORM enabled data provider for Oracle. Building on ADO.NET technology it presents a solution for developing Oracle-based database applications. When architecting products, designing applications that use databases technology, you can derive productivity gains through newer approaches to the product design. The product works with VB 2010, 2008, 2005, Delphi Prism and RAD studio 2007, etc. dotConnect for Oracle offers both native connectivity to the Oracle database and a number of development tools and technologies. It supports a wide range of Oracle-specific features, such as Advanced Queuing, Alerts, Pipes, Direct Path Loading, Change notifications, Transparent Application Failover, REF cursors, objects, packages, and others. It provides a number of GUI tools that can increase productivity by integrating into the development tools.

Visual component editors provided simplify component tweaking. Typed and untyped data sets can be edited easily. LINQ connect and direct connect (no Oracle client) data support are available. PL/SQL tables and PL/SQL records support are available. The tool works with Oracle versions 11g, 10g, 9i, 8i, 8.0 and 7.3. The interface is comprehensive and well laid out. But, it is obviously for the experienced programmer. The rich set of features crammed into the interface may be a little puzzling initially, but the users to whom this is addressed will figure it out quite easily. The license that comes with the product, when you buy it after trial, is royalty free for per developer, per team, or per site configurations.
